'May the God of peace, ...that great Shepherd of sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will' Hebrews 13:20-21

Half Termly Discrete Subjects

Our subject drivers are Geography and History. They provide a solid base for our children to develop their understanding of the culture and heritage of their locality and the world around them.  They provide opportunities for children to develop their sense of community and understanding of society.

  • Geography

Our Geography curriculum aims to inspire a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people, that will remain with our children for the rest of their lives. We equip pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with an understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes. The 'big ideas' we revisit as part of our Geography topics are 'Location' - Where in the world are we visiting? Which continent? Which hemisphere? Which country? 'Characteristics' - What is significant or unique about this area? and 'Civilisation' - What are/were civilisations like in this area? What comparisons and contrasts can be drawn?
