We are lucky to have our very own school dog. His name is Bailey and he is a black cocker spaniel.
He can frequently be found out on the school gate with Mrs McGrath-Wells.
He has a vital role in supporting our children to develop their confidence and self esteem. He spends time hearing
children read and working with small groups of children. He also supports everyone’s well being and
always enjoys a cuddle and a walk if anyone is feeling a little sad. When he is tired he can often be
found under Mrs McGrath-Wells desk. Bailey has passed all of his assessments with Canine Concern
and happily supports us within school.
As a school we believe it is important for children to know how to approach all dogs and we use
information from Dogs trust to support this.
Bailey is a very important part of our school team.
