Enrichment

During our subject teaching, we try to provide our children with special enriching experiences whenever possible.

We also try to provide as many other opportunities as we can throughout the year to build our children's 'cultural capital'.  To ensure that we offer our children as many possible opportunities for new experiences as possible we have created a MAT passport.  We have then identified where our children will encounter these experiences in our Stoke By Nayland Enrichment Plan. The passport identifies opportunities within our curriculum to enhance our children's learning.

Willow Weaving - Groups of children have been working with Bernard Bailey over a number of weeks to redo the willow weaving around the base of the chestnut tree.
Whole School Trip to the Ark - The children were amazed by this half-sized replica! The children enjoyed looking at the different exhibitions of bible stories as they explored the boat.
Whole School Puppet Show - The puppet show 'kick started' our whole school story telling topic. Children heard different stories depending on their age group. The children also took part in a puppet workshop as part of their experience.
