Hello and welcome to Oak Class!

Oak Class is our Key Stage 2 class.  Here children focus on developing their independent learning skills.

We are years 5 and 6 in the mornings and Years 3,4,5,6 in the afternoons. Our teachers are Mrs Conway and Mrs McGrath.   Our Teaching assistants are Mrs Locke and Miss Thorn.

In Key Stage 2 we sometimes split into year 3/4 and 5/6 for different lessons and activities.  For example the year 5/6 children get to go on the residential each year and year 3/4 get a local over night stay.  We enjoy active learning and use our online learning platform too.    

As Key stage 2 children we take on more responsibilities and we are able to apply for in school jobs such as librarians, sports leaders and digitial leads.  

During our time in Year 5/6 we also create Records of acheivement. We are proud of all of the learning we do both in school and out of school and we have high expectations of ourselves.
