We have a link with Highgate Primary School in Haringay, North London. It is a very different school to ours, which is why it is so interesting . The link we have forged is of great benefit to both schools, providing the opportunity to share with and learn from each other. The visits between schools adds greatly to the interest and range of experiences we provide for our children, both academically and socially.
Highgate Visits Stoke by Nayland
In July, 55 pupils visited us over two days. Our year 4 and 5 children gave the Highgate children a tour of the school. They then took part in our assembly which had the theme of 'perseverance'. After a tour of the village we met our new friends over at the church where Father Adrian talked about different aspects of the church. Next is was lunchtime which we shared together on the field and then had a playtime where we got to know our new friends a bit better.
Stoke by Nayland visits Highgate
In November we visited Highgate to see the school and the village. We were amazed at the differences between our two schools, but there were a lot of similarities too. One of the main differences is it's size-with over 350 pupils! We attended their assembly and the year 6's had organised a quiz about their school. After lunch we said goodbye and walked to the village to do our comparative study. A really great day!!

We have been developing a link with Kiteto Christian College in Kibaya Tanzania. Bishop Isaiah works from the cathedral in Kibaya and is committed to developing education in his diocese. He talked about the school and the children and we were able to look at similarities and differences. The bishop taught us a Tanzanian greeting and a song.

Many of our children will go to The Thomas Gainsborough School at the end of year 6 to begin their secondary education. We have always had a close relationship with this school and over the years have worked on joint projects that use the skills and facilities of the upper school.
